Hi I'm Sheldon

I grew up by a small town inIdaho and I am currently serving a mission in Costa Rica and yes, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, but when I return from my mission I plan on contuing to study Physics. I love Physics and all of the sciences and one day plan on obtaining a Doctorate degree in either Nuclear Engineering or Biomedical Engineering. I also love the outdoors, to go running, hiking, rock climbing, and hunting. I am a huge fan of archery hunting, and have spent many weekends running around the hills with a bow. However my favorite hobby is to read. I read all types of books and among my favorite authors are J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert Jordan, Hemmingway, Dan Brown, James E. Talmage, Orson Scott Card, and many others. For music I listen to all types but classical is by far my favorite. My top two artist are ThePianoGuys and Two Steps from Hell. In the end, I am just an Idaho farm boy that likes to have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and growing up I have gained my own knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ, and in the Mormon faith. I have studied the scriptures my entire life and at a young age I came to know the truth of this Church, through prayer and study. I have come to know that there is a God in Heaven and that He is our father. He loves us unconditionally and wants nothing more than that which is best for us. I know that it was for this reason that our Heavenly Father Called the Prophet Joseph Smith to restore the Church of Jesus Christ again on this earth, as it was when Christ himself walked this earth. I know that Jesus Christ lives, and he is always there to help us and support us. I have come to know Christ through the Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ, and the Book of Mormon has been a guide in my life to follow the Gospel of Christ. This knowledge has helped me greatly in my life and without it I do not know where I would be.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith by serving a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and as a missionary I have the opportunity to see how the gospel changes and blesses lives.
