Hi I'm Austin

I live in small town in Eastern Washington with 8 brothers and sisters, love sports, live on a farm, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from Othello High School and from Columbia Basin College with and an AA degree, this June. While in high school I participated in sports; I played football and tennis all four years and even two of basketball. I alsowas active in our school's Honors Society and our Church's young mens youth group, which through I was able to receive my Eagle Scout. I am now currently a full time Missionary for my church and I love it! For the next to years I have an opportunity to devote myself to sharing this gospel that has brought so much joy to my life with everyone I come in contact with. i cant imagine a better way to spend my next two years. After my mission I plan to attend BYU and major in Agronomy or Business Managment. After which I hope to move back home and farm with my father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a LDS Family, but that is not why I'm a mormon. I have read the Book of Mormon myself and know without a doubt that it is the true word of God. I believe this because the Holy Ghost has witnessed the truth of it to me every time I've read it.

How I live my faith

I attended church every Sunday with my family. I also attended our seminary and institute class (religion classes) during school everyday and participated in our youth group on Wednesday nights. With other male members from our youth group I enjoyed giving service. We did anything from canned food drives for Christmas baskets to lawn work for widows in the area and I loved it. However, now I'm a full time missionary and the next two years of my life is dedicated service to the Lord. It sometimes is hard and fraustrating but, I have never been so happy in my life! I try everyday to be the an example of Christ to everyone I come in contact with and leave them better off than how I found them.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Austin
Missionaries are not paid for their service. We are expected to pay our own way. fortunately I was able to have a job every summer for the past 5 years and was able to save enough money for myself. Show more Show less
