Hi I'm Robert

I am from Kelowna BC. I am an Engineering student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up in small towns across British Columbia. I love to fix and build things, which is why I am currently in my Third year of a Mechanical Engineering degree. I am also an outdoor enthusiast I love camping, mountain biking, and I am getting into Rock climbing.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church since I was born. The reason I continue to be a member of the Church is peace and contentment that the knowledge of the atonement of Jesus Christ brings to my life. I know that through the atonement no matter how dark of a day I am currently having, it can be changed to the brightest of mornings through Jesus Christ, and his atonement. In Matthew Christ teaches the people that they will know the false Prophets which come among them by their fruits or you could say the results of their work. I have seen the fruit of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life, as I strive to live the commandments and be obedient. The fruits that I feel are peace, optimism, patience in greater abundance, which help me through the challenges of life.

How I live my faith

Growing up I particiapted alot in the scouting program. Through Scouting and the Church I have learned the importance of service. By helping out by being an assistant Scout leader, helping someone move, or shovelling snow off my elderly neighbors driveway I can show by example that I beleive in Christ and follow his example.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Robert
Our purpose in life is to try to better ourselves so that we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. The problem is that we can not reach that goal on our own. The difference between our best efforts and Heaven is where the grace of God helps us, and makes us the difference. The scriptures teach us that we are saved by grace after all that we can do. If we are continually repenting and trying to change our lives for the better we are doing all that we can, and the grace of God will make up the difference for us. Show more Show less
