Hi I'm Josh Cole

I like to talk to people, and help them laugh and feel happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have grown up with my family in Washington. I am the oldest of five kids, and a high school graduate since June 2013. I'm a son to a loving mother and father who work hard to support each other, and their children. They set a great example for me. I love listening to music, and participating in it. I played the violin and viola, and sang in choir in high school. I always remember the friends I made through these opportunities, because they always made me feel more confident in myself. I enjoy playing games and spending time with friends and family. I also like watching sports, and good competition with friends. I love to talk to people, especially when someone's day has been brightened though the conversation. I love to make people laugh. I love good positive humor, that lightens up someone´s day. I believe humor is really a type of service, and is designed to make people feel happy. I know these positive opportunities are available daily, and I know happiness is a choice.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, and I have continued to be a faithful member, but I have always needed to work hard to understand and fully appreciate the gospel's teachings. It is said that you can't receive a witness until after the trial of your faith (Ether 12:6). I am a Mormon, because I have experienced and witnessed the blessings and miracles surrounding the Gospel myself. I have found that when I live the gospel teachings with all my heart, holding nothing back, my Heavenly Father helps me see, feel, and understand that what I am doing and being taught is right. What I can say, is that anybody can receive a witness for them-self that the gospel teachings really are of Jesus Christ, and are true. I am a Mormon because I have experienced the peace and happiness living the gospel brings. I have witness the tender mercies of the Lord, and have a testimony that they happen often, we just have to be ready to appreciate them. I know that families can be forever, and that there is absolutely a purpose to life. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that I can overcome my weaknesses and challenges. He is the way back to Heavenly Father. I know Jesus Christ has restored His church. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and that it contains the teachings of Jesus Christ that the people of today need to hear and feel to overcome their challenges. I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants me to gain the eternal blessings He has, and for all to return to Him.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a way of life. It consists of daily choices that shield me from unhappiness. These choices bring me comfort, confidence, and joy. I'm nowhere near perfect, but I try to live better each day. When I make mistakes or wrong choices, I feel sorrow knowing I have hurt my spirit, and in some cases others. I strive to turn away from my weaknesses, and make restitution for my wrongdoings. When I do this and trust in the Lord's atonement at the same time, I feel the love of forgiveness from my Savior Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father. I go to church every Sunday, so that I can be spiritually rejuvenated for the next week, and learn of my Savior. Throughout high school I attended seminary every morning so I could learn to keep the commandments of God. Without these opportunities, I would be lost. I try to always be obedient, because I know this is how we show God we are ready for the blessings He desires to give us. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I seek and crave understanding of the things of God. I have become more acquainted with Him and my Savior Jesus Christ through experiencing challenges within my life. I have learned the key is to turn to them without holding anything back. Living my faith is always a work in progress, but it is something I would never give up. I also live my faith by serving others, and by trying to serve the Lord at all times. The opportunities are always there.
