Hi I'm Sean Fitzgerald

I'm a country music artist. I'm a skateboarder. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico on April 11, 1996. 2 weeks later I was put up for adoption and adopted by an active LDS family. Growing up in this active LDS family gave me an opportunity to learn and grow in a way that may not have been possible if I weren't adopted. I taught myself how to sing, and write music. Then I learned I love country music. Artists like, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, and Florida Georgia Line really appealed to me. So, I decided that I was going to sing country music professionally. Through out my life I have always had the desire to be the family man like my adoptive dad. He has always been there to have fun with my 3 adoptive siblings and I. He taught me how to play basketball and not to ever give up. Also have learned how to do most boarding sports. Such as, skateboarding, wakeboarding, and mountain boarding. Wakeboarding has been my absolute favorite my whole life. It has always been a family tradition. As I grew up I was coming towards my 18th birthday which meant I had a difficult choice to make. Then, in late April of 2014 I decided to make contact with my bio-mom where I was able to see my family grow when she told me I have 3 younger half siblings. It was a blessing to be able to have a second shot at being an older brother the right way this time. Then, I received my mission call to the Utah Salt Lake City East Mission and left for the MTC on June 11 of 2014. I have been currently serving for the past 10 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I received a witness of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon for myself. I have done as everyone has told me since I was eight. I have prayed and read from the Book of Mormon for my answer. I prayed to know how I could be an older brother and the answer came straight from a verse in the Book of Mormon which explained exactly what I needed to do to change my life. I have been depressed from time to time and found joy in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in the Book of Mormon, and at church. I have seen the miracles that have come from serving the Lord in the mission field. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the Church of Jesus Christ again established to the earth. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by standing as a witness of Jesus Christ in all things, all places, at all times. I do my best to be the example I know I should be. Being that I am the oldest of 7 kids and my two closest friends are not members of the LDS church I try to be the best I can. I am always myself around everyone. I just try to show my love for the Lord in all that I do and say. Whether it be through my music, my wakeboarding, my basketball, or anything I do. I do all that I can to show my love for the Lord.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Sean Fitzgerald
Well, this is a fantastic question. I think why wouldn't God send his only Begotten Son to not only the people in the middle east but also to the people all around the world. So, why not to the North American continent? I have prayed and that is the answer that came to me. I know that it is not Heavenly Father's intention to not save only a select few of us but, all of his children. Show more Show less
