Hi I'm Karissa

I grew up in Texas, I taught English in Jordan next to the Syrian border, and I'm a birth-mom. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm twenty-two, married, and a full-time student majoring in engineering. I love reading, running, hiking, boardgames, and drawing/painting. I am a birth-mom and like to volunteer with LDS Family Services doing birth-parent panels to help spread adoption awareness. My husband and I recently traveled to Jordan and Israel to study small business and teach English.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because because it brings purpose and meaning into my life. It has provided me a relationship with God and with the knowledge of the eternities. It has given me hope, an understanding of divine justice, and faith in the atonement. I was lost without the gospel, but I have found guidance.

How I live my faith

In Jordan I was a Sunday school teacher for the 3-4 year olds. Currently I am part of the enrichment committee where I help plan and carry out activities for the women in the ward. I visit teach two women in the ward with my visiting teaching companion.
