Hi I'm John

I'm an amateur cook, a long-distance runner, a father, a disciple of Jesus Christ, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I have two young kids and a wonderful wife--my family means the world to me. I studied culinary arts for a year and love to cook when I have the time. My trade, I'm a financial analyst. I also enjoy long distance running--I ran my first half-marathon last year and am training for full marathon next year.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormon and I went to church with them growing up, but my conversion to the didn't come until high school when I learned I never had to be alone if I would establish a relationship with Jesus Christ. As I've tried to maintain this relationship the teachings of my Savior, and His Atonement, I've found a peace that cannot be replicated in any other way.

How I live my faith

My wife is heavily involved in the children's ministry of our congregation, so I do my best to support her and focus on our children on Sunday so she can attend to her ministry. I also help out in our congregation's men group which allows me to serve others and lead discussions. Additionally, I try to carry the Light of Christ at all times, (at which I fail at often), and try to live as Christ did that others might feel His love and desire to learn more of Him and His redeeming grace.
