Hi I'm Krisette

I love literature and learning. I'm the mother of four children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The biggest part of my life is being a wife and mother. I've been married to my wonderful spouse for almost 20 years now, and we love spending time together. From the time I was a small girl, I couldn't wait to grow up and have a family of my own. My children take up most of my time, and I can think of nothing more rewarding than teaching a child how to be a responsible member of society. My other passion is reading. I love literature, and in quiet moments, I will most often be found with a book in my hand. I love all types of literature, and I really appreciate an author who can tell their story without bad language or other inappropriate content. I also enjoy teaching the youth the gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a teacher is a very rewarding calling. It's a great opportunity to share your knowledge with the rising generation.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of members of The Church of Jesus Christ. My parents taught me the principles of the gospel from the early days of my childhood, and I grew up with a firm desire to be a strong follower of Jesus Christ. As an adult, I could no longer lean on the testimonies of my parents and other trusted adults. I had to gain my own testimony. My knowledge that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true and living church on the earth today came from reading the Book of Mormon. Moroni gives a challenge and promise in Moroni 10:4, that if we read the Book of Mormon we can pray to know if it is true. I took Moroni's challenge and prayed to know for myself if the Book of Mormon is true. I received an overwhelming answer through the power of the Holy Ghost, and I know without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is the word of God.

How I live my faith

I currently serve with the young women in my ward. My responsibilities include teaching lessons on Sunday and attending activities on Tuesday nights. We try to have activities that center around service, learning skills for their future roles as wives and mothers, and other wholesome activities. I really love serving with the youth. It's a great privilege to spend so much time with these remarkable young women helping them to prepare for the future. In our home we have family home evening each Monday evening. It's an opportunity for my husband and me to gather our children around us and teach them the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their testimonies begin to grow as they have the opportunity to feel the Holy Ghost tesitfying to them the truthfulness of the principles they are taught. After the lesson, we get to enjoy a game and treat together. It's the highlight of our week to be able to spend this time with each other.
