Hi I'm Randi

I'm a wife, I'm a Stay At Home Mom, I'm energetic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to 2 amazing children, and I have a wonderful husband. Our life is far from perfect we have our struggles, but know that as long as we have faith and follow the council of the church we will be ok.

Why I am a Mormon

I wasn't raised into any specific religion that my family had chosen for me, my dad's family didn't practice a religion and my mom was conflicted between two different ones her dad being Baptist and her mom being Catholic. My mom later took to the Baptist side and when I was in the 5th grade I followed. But at 11 years old with no real foundation in religion I was just doing what I felt I was expected of me. In September of 2005 I was introduced to the missionaries upon hearing the story of Joseph Smith I felt the spirit for the first time and it prompted me to continue the lessons. I read the scriptures I was asked to read and even gave up smoking. It wasn't until I was reading the scriptures one night that I got the confirmation that I needed to know the scriptures were true. I then took the next step and decided to be baptized but due to some trouble I had gotten into a few years prior I had to have special permission from the First Presidency (the prophet) to be baptized. He saw something in me and I was allowed to join the church. One thing I learned is that right before and right after baptism is that Satan really gets to you, and for about 5 years I let him win. But I can say now that I have prevailed and that I know this is the true church and that Heavenly Father loves us all and wants us to live with him again. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that he restored the gospel. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I participate in my branch by teaching on the sisters on the third Sunday of the month. It is an amazing opportunity to learn from their perspective and to give them my insight on many gospel topics.
