Hi I'm Bethany

I grew up in northern California. I am a mother of three little boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a wonderful man serving in the United States Air Force. We have been married for almost 10 years. I am a mother. We have three little boys, ages 5, 3-1/2 and 1. I love playing with them, teaching them and laughing with them. They sure keep me busy! I enjoy reading, sewing and singing, though I'm not great at the last two. I will be starting piano lessons soon - something I've wanted to do since I was a little girl. I love getting together with other moms to talk and share ideas and views.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. So I have been a Mormon all of my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ is very dear to me. I know its teachings are true. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me. He's answered my prayers, lifted me and strengthened me when I've struggled. He's blessed me with a wonderful loving family. My husband and I were married in the Oakland, California Temple. I know that by the sealing power of the priesthood we have been sealed for time and all eternity and because of that sealing our boys are sealed to us too. We can be a family for eternity. I am grateful to live near a temple. The blessings I receive from being there and the things I learn there are precious to me. I know Joseph Smith was called as a prophet by God. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet on earth today. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

How I live my faith

I teach and lead the 12 and 13 year old young women in my ward. I love being around these girls. They have such great testimonies. I am also a visiting teacher. Another sister and I are assigned to visit two sisters in our ward each month and share a lesson with them. We have become good friends with these two ladies we visit. My husband and I sing in our ward choir. Singing hymns of the Savior, while in the congregation or with the choir strengthens my testimony. My husband and I try to have Family Home Evening each Monday with our boys. During that time we teach a mini gospel lesson, sing songs and have a family activity. I do my best to read the Book of Mormon every day. I enjoy reading the illustrated Book of Mormon stories to my children while we eat breakfast. Reading the scriptures in the morning as a family is a great start to our day.
