Hi I'm Sister Hilton

I love lacrosse, SEC football, my siblings, having fun, and learning about new adventures. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Sister Hilton and I am a sophomore in college. I am a defender and goalie for BYU's women's lacrosse team. I love rock climbing, backpacking, SEC football, my family, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I enjoy fishing, four wheelers, muddying, and good food. I am serving in the Oakland-San Francisco California Mission where I will be serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 18 months. I have the exciting opportunity to learn Somoan!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my family. In the Gospel, we have the opportunity to have our families now and forever. The thought of being without my parents, siblings, and the man I love, there is not a worse hell. It would not matter if I was in heaven. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I know that not only will I see them in the next life, I have the opportunity to keep them as my family forever so long as I do everything that I can to make my God proud of me. I am a Mormon because I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, that Thomas S. Monson, like Moses, Abraham, and Jacob, is a prophet of God given to this time to be the mouth piece of God. I know that Joseph Smith was the first prophet in latter days that God used to return the fullness of His Gospel on the earth in the 1800's.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by choosing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for 18 months. I received my call to go serve the Somoans in Oakland/San Francisco, California mission. I am thrilled to be able to do so. The past year and a half, I worked on finding a career and completing my Bachelor's degree, however, I am going to put schooling on pause for a while because I want to go and serve God.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Sister Hilton
Mormon women are good, kind people. We choose to follow our God to the best of our abilities. We believe in the importance of families, so we actively try to be apart of them, whether its our own personal family or try to treat those we love like family. For me, I am like anyone else. I love to go run and play with my siblings. I am a daddy's girl and consider my mom my best friend. I hope one day to have the opportunity to get married to the man that I love. Mormons believe in equality of men and women. We are not the same and God has created us like that. We each fulfill different roles and responsibilities. We do believe that men and women work together for the better life of each other and their children. I know that sometimes, a mother and father cannot always be present in a family so sometimes, one has to take on the roles of mother and father by themselves, but in general, I believe that nothing is more powerful than a man and woman working with God to build up their family.
