Hi I'm Tim

I'm serious about river fishing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband to my beautiful wife and father to 3 wonderful children. I love being outdoors and hiking with my family. I also enjoy being out by the river fishing for salmon, trout, and steelhead. For me going out to the river is more than just relaxing in the fresh air. Fishing for me is one of the ways I can appreciate all of God's marvelous creations and reflect upon what is really important in this short life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by good parents who brought me to Church and taught me to make right choices. For teaching me the importance of hard work, of treating others with kindness, and of keeping God's commandments I will always be greatful. During my teenage years it didn't take long to notice that most kids didn't have much direction in their lives. By being a Mormon I have learned that God has a plan for me in this short life. I have gained knowledge, hope, and understanding about why I am here on this earth and what my role is. . I have knelt in prayer and asked if the scriptures are true. In responce to my prayer I strongly felt God's Spirit, The Holy Ghost, speak peace to my heart and mind that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the Word of God. As a result, I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is His TRUE church on earth. I also know that Jesus is the Christ and that he died for me personally so that after this life I can live again with my family. With this knowledge I can wake up each morning knowing that there is purpose and meaning to my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example to my children. We have regular prayer as a family in the morning before we leave for work and school, and we also pray again at night. We read the children stories from the Bible and Book of Mormon and try to relate those stories to their lives. My wife and I try to create an environment that fosters learning and growth and that teaches them to grow up to be responcible adults. I have also assited with the Boy Scout program at Church and have made many good friends and enjoyable associations.
