Hi I'm Josh

I'm a sophomore at BYU, from Phoenix, Arizona. I love all sports, especially baseball. Serving the Lord in Korea! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sophomore at BYU, going to school for either physics or statistics. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to spend time outdoors, no matter the occasion; I love playing and watching all kind of sports, especially baseball. I play guitar and ukulele, and I love to have a good time by having positive, uplifting things to do. I enjoy cooking, and I also try to challenge myself at school. I am a people person, and I love to make new friends. Although I have a busy schedule, I find that my life is happiest when I am able to read my scriptures and pray. I love my savior; I love the life I live. Because of my faith, I put off my education for a two year dedicated service to the Lord. I have been called to serve in Busan, South Korea. I knew nothing about the Korean way of life until receiving my mission call, but I know the Lord will provide and help me through my journey.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but I am glad that I was. I can really tell a difference of the way I live my life to find happiness and the way that the world is finding happiness. In this increasingly evil world, especially in high school, I am able to see how people try to be happy but lose sight of what real happiness is. I find true joy knowing that my Savior Jesus Christ has made it possible for us all to become perfect so that we can return to live with my family. Because of this, I have been able to see people's lives literally turn around from being in the dumps to having an amazing life. With regards to the people of the church, they are all so supportive and helpful, and I've never seen such a positive organization of youth anywhere. I know that true happiness comes in and through this church. I know that this church is true, and all of its precepts. I know that God lives, and through the atonement of his son, Jesus Christ, we can all return to live with our families, and become like Him. I know we can find truth; because Heavenly Father knows each of us individually, he will, and does talk to his children. Pray, he is there; speak, he is listening. He will never forsake us, and wants us to find happiness in him.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve as a missionary in Busan, South Korea. I am grateful for the opportunity to take people away from the ever-worsening culture that society has helped usher in, and show them the real path to true happiness. I have seen both sides of the world, growing up in west-side Phoenix and seeing gangs, violence, fear, and rebellion for people trying to be happy, unfortunately, they aren't truly happy; their lives are filled with hardships, heartache, and pain. At BYU, I see people who are truly happy because of their understanding of the savior. Being blessed with the ability to attend BYU has really helped me come to terms with what really brings joy, the knowledge that we will be able to return to life with our families and Heavenly Father again, through the redeeming power of the atonement of Jesus Christ.
