Hi I'm Jonathan

I'm a husband and father of four. I'm a dental student and classic car enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in California but have spent most of my life in Arizona. I am currently living in Indiana finishing my last year of dental school. I have been married for almost eight years, and my wife and I just had our fourth child. We both look forward to moving back to the sunshine of Arizona. As a teenager I developed an interest in classic cars. My high school had a phenominal auto shop program and there I was able to rebuild a 1964 Chevy II two door sedan with some help from friends. After high school I was able to fix up a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air two door sedan. I have since had to sell the cars in order to buy more "family friendly" transportation. As a student I have had to put my love of cars on hold, but I plan to get myself another project car once we get settled in my dental practice in Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with a long history of membership in the church. Growing up I always trusted my parents and felt that the things they were teaching me were true. The teachings of the church have always made sense to me and felt right. I have never doubted the things that I believe. While serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I decided that I wanted to receive a confirmation of my beliefs from the Lord so I could more sincerely testify of their truthfullness. I recall praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true. After concluding my prayer I stayed on my knees for a moment and I felt a feeling of peace and warmth flow through my body and I knew it was true. That is just one of many experiences I have had confirming the truth to me. So, in short, I am a Mormon because I know it is true and I find joy in the Gospel of Jesus of Christ.

How I live my faith

I am currently a youth leader for the 12 and 13 year old boys. I teach their Sunday School class and assist them during the week in the Boy Scout program. I am also assigned to visit a couple families that are members of our congregation. I share a message with them from the teachings of our modern prophets and make sure each family's needs are being met. I try to live a life of integrity and follow the example of Jesus Christ.
