Hi I'm Kayla

I am an artist, musician, and writer. I am partially deaf. I'm a daydreamer. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending a community college while living at home while working and helping my mom get back on her feet after a divorce. I have four younger siblings, and three dogs and two cats. I love to write, read, draw, listen to music and dance in the rain.

Why I am a Mormon

In the past I have struggled with things like depression and cutting, but through His help and a desire to be better, I was able to overcome these trials and get through others. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me and wants me to return to Him. By being a part of this church, I know what I need to do to return to heaven and be surrounded by people that want the same thing and are willing to help me get there. I know I am loved, wanted and needed, and His Spirit helps me get through the day to day trials with a smile on my face and the hope of something amazing waiting for me at the end.

How I live my faith

Since I recently graduated high school, we have an early-morning church class called "seminary". My senior year I missed more than half of the classes, but with a little encouragement from a friend, I was able to make up 65 days worth of work and receive my certificate of graduation. Since then I have struggled with going back after being "inactive" for so long, but I am and want to get better. I love being surrounded by people with the same positive outlook on life that I so desperately need.
