Hi I'm Sam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying mechanical engineering at college, and I hope to go to get my M.S. eventually. I enjoy DIY projects, movies, and anything that has to do with technology. I am an Eagle Scout, and I love to go fishing and camping. I have two dogs, two cats, and a bunch of fish. I am half Japanese. I was born and raised in Southern California, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but just like everyone else, I needed to experience conversion. I needed to know for myself. I especially felt this in High School and college. I did exactly what I ask other people to do. I prayed to know. I ask for guidance and direction. I asked for a testimony. My answer came to me, and it very clearly told me that I needed to serve. I know that through Christ, anyone can change. I have seen it first hand in my friends, and in myself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing this gospel with as many people as aI can while I am living in Japan. I was born and raised in the United States, so I have never had much of a chance to learn about my roots. I am so excited to have this opportunity to learn more about my heritage while serving the Lord. I study from the scriptures every day. I try every day to get closer to my Heavenly Father and develop greater love for everyone. I am reminded every day that I already have a relationship with everyone that I serve. We have a common heritage, and I want to share it with as many people as possible.
