Hi I'm Logan

I live, breathe, and love basketball. It is my passion. I've lived in Arizona all my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a junior in high school.I am the 2nd oldest child in a family of 8. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I love them all... most of the time. Both my grandpas and one grandma passed away when I was young. My one grandma is pretty much the dictionary definition of a saint. She is genuine and is truly interested in ohter peoples lives. She spends her days finding ways to serve others. I am very lucky to have an amazing family and an incredible grandmother. I have my Eagle Scout award, mainly because of the help and encouragement I had from my parents. I love playing basketball. I'm on my high school football team. I'm friends with a lot of nonmembers, but they understand and respect my standards and dont cuss around me.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I am part of the Church. First, my parents were members already so I was born into the Church, but I am grateful for it. The main reason I've continued to be apart of the Church is because I honestly know that this is the Lord's church. As I learn more and more about the Church and I understand more of the principles, my testimony that the Church is true gets strengthened. I dont believe that someone can go through life doing whatever they want and still be saved. I believe in working for your priveleges and in earning things and in this Church, you dont just join and be saved. It requires effort. Although many people not of my Church think that some of our beliefs are hard and pointless, such as fasting or going on missions, it just strengthens my knowledge that I am apart of the correct church. I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to my Heavenly Father to see if this Church is right and I have received the answer that it is true. I love the peaceful feeling I get after listening to His servants speak and preach to me, and I love knowing what I can do to return to my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an all around good person. I try to be friends with everyone and include them in things I do. Like if I notice that someone stays home on weekends regularily, I'll text them or call them and ask them if they want to hangout. I just try to be a good friend. Another thing I do is I serve my friends. I try to be there whenever my friends or family need me. It's like in the song "Lean on Me". I try to be there when the people I care about arent strong or need a friend. I know I'm not the perfect person but I do the best I can. In my opinion though, the biggest thing I do is that I always try to be happy. Whenever I'm going through trials in my life, I know it won't help me or anyone else to sit around and mope, so I try and take the challenges I have head on with a smile on my face. I try to focus the wonderful friends I have and all that the Lord has given me instead of the challenges I have. I try to look at the cup half full instead of half empty.
