Hi I'm Cristina

I grew up in Ecuador. When I was 18, I was an exchange student. That is why I am now a wife, a mom, an artist, and a Mormon.

About Me

My life now is growing with my kids. A meaningful day with them, a good conversation with my husband, and art make me happy. I am a full time mom, and I am an artist.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it is a committed way to live. In Ecuador I remember watching tv and loving those comercials that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints put out. They warmed my heart. Many years later I learned the Latter-day Saints and the Mormons where the same people! I was lucky to come to the US as an exchange student and blessed to live with a wonderful family that taught me by their good example. I have always like to feel peace and find refuge in something spiritual. What a wonderful thing it was to learn that I could keep that peace with me always. I was in college, confused, overwhelmed and lacking on a lot of sleep, but one night everything made sense and I realize I didn't need to know everything to embrace the truth. I was so excited about my discovery that I wanted to be a missionary and tell everyone about this new way of life. Only I needed to get baptized first.

How I live my faith

I pray, pray a lot! and because of that I see the Lords hand everyday in my life. I make an effort to be better than the day before. I like my life to be congruent with my believes. I work hard on overcoming my flaws and become more Christlike in my everyday interactions. The road is long, but it has been so rewarding. I live my faith with my kids, they are a wonderful learning tool and a good testing ground. I live my faith by stretching my abilities and comfort zone to serve and build His kingdom.
