Hi I'm Mary Jo

I live in Washington. I am a mother of a very active two year old. I teach piano. I have Multiple Sclerosis and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Professional Homemaker and Mother for a husband of three years and a very active two year old little boy. I teach piano lessons and graduated college with an Elementary Education Teaching Certificate. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at the age of 22. I love my family, church, the outdoors, music, art, reading, teaching, and learning new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I find strength knowing that Christ loves me and that His hand is in everything I do. I know that this church is true and that the Book of Mormon is true. I learn something new every time I read it. The Book of Mormon provides me with guidance and comfort. It strengthens me. I know that Jesus Christ lives. i know that our Church is guided by a true prophet of God. Every time I pray I feel loved. I know that Christ and God hear my words and love me. They understand me and know me individually. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

In the church I participate as the Music Chairman. I lead the music in our meetings and arrange for special musical numbers to be performed in our Sunday Sacrament Meeting. I also visit with individual sisters each month as a Visiting Teacher. I bring them a message from the gospel and provide them with service when needed. I also have the opportunity to teach several of the youth in our Church how to play the piano and they then use their talents in the church to bless our meetings with uplifting, spiritual music.
