Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a wife, a hairstylist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a hairstylist, a wife, a friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, and so much more! I love to spend time with my husband, sing and dance freely, hang out with friends, make new things that I find on pinterest, go outside and explore, travel, laugh, cook, bake, shop, and lots of other fun things! I'm always up for anything new!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Georgia as a Southern Baptist. My grandfather is a preacher, my dad is a preacher, and one of my uncles is a preacher. From a very young age I could feel the Holy Ghost, and I knew exactly what it was. Growing up Southern Baptist was great, but I always felt like something was missing. There were questions I had that no one could answer. I would always get," Well, that's just not something that we need to worry about." I came to just accept that as an answer and stopped questioning things. To make a long story short, I began a quest to find the right church when I was 17. When I was 19, I met who is now my husband and learned that he and his family were Mormon. At first, I was scared, because I only knew what I had been taught about Mormons. However, I decided not to judge them and to just ask what they believed. To my surprise, they didn't believe much differently from what I had been raised to believe! This was such a relief! A year after dating, I became more interested in their beliefs, so I decided to start investigating the church. As I visited with the missionaries, I found that a lot of my questions were being answered, and I could feel that it was true. A few months later, I decided to take a leap of faith and was baptized by my husband who I had just married a few minutes before. That's right, we got married, and right after saying our "I Do's", we stepped into the baptismal font. Since then, my life has changed only for the better! I've grown a lot in the gospel, and not once have I questioned it's truthfulness since joining. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints isn't my religion, it's my way of life. I choose to follow this way of life, because I feel closer to Christ when I do so. My name is Leslie, and I'm a Mormon! :D

How I live my faith

I am able to teach some of the young women in my church, and it's been such a blessing! I really enjoy preparing the lessons, because being a convert, sometimes I learn new things! I love being able to teach this age group, because this is the age I was when I was confused about church and religion. I also try to participate in any community outreach event the church holds! Those are always fun, because you get to meet other people in the community and work together to give back to the community. I really enjoy going to church every Sunday, because it's always uplifting. Plus, everyone is always so friendly! One of the things I love about this church is it's so easy to make friends! I also really enjoy going to all of the women's activities they have.
