Hi I'm Macey!

I'm a typical highschool student, I'm a runner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life consists of running, school, family, dancing, and most importantly church. I run both cross country and track for my school. Running is a big part of my life! The team is like my family! Another one of my hobbies is ballroom dancing. My mom is a ballroom dance teacher so i have grown up around it all my life. I come from a family of five. I have a twin sister, an older brother, and my parents. I also have one dog and one cat. We all get along very well. I mean of course we get in arguements but what family doesn't? In the end we all love each other and thats what matters. I absolutely love hanging out with my friends. They mean the world to me and are always there to cheer me up! We do a lot of fun things together, just being kids! I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints! I go to church every sunday, go to seminary every morning before school, and I go to mutual every Wednesday. Seminary is somewhat like a bible study like other churches have, we just study the book of mormon as well. Mutual is a youth group, all the youth of ages 12-18 get together and have activities. Many of the activities are service related, we are big on the service. My days consist of waking up, going to seminary, going to school, going to practice, doing homework, reading my scriptures, going to bed, and repeating the next day. I enjoy life and live it to the fullest!

Why I am a Mormon

Most kids go to church because their parents make them, that's not the situation for me. I was born and raised in the church and yes, when I was little it was because of my parents that I went. But now that I am older, it is my choice. My parents don't force me to go, I choose to. I have a strong testimony of the church. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. I know that we have a living prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, who receives revelation from God to guide us. I have a strong testimony of the atonement. Jesus Christ suffered for our sins so that we can repent and return to our Heavenly Father again. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have read and prayed about it and have received a comfirmation that it is true. The joy this gospel gives me is undescribable! It makes me so happy and I want everyone to have this happiness it brings my family and I. I belive in eternal marriages and sealings. My family has been sealed together in the temple so that we can live together for all eternity. Families are so important, they are there to love and support you. I have a testimony of the Holy Ghost. He speaks to us and will guide us through life. I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. If you listen, you will receive an answer. You may not receive it right away and it may not be the answer you're looking for but it will come and it is what is best for you. I know this gospel is true and I want to share it with the world. The gospel is everything to me and I live according to it. I know that anyone who wants to find true happiness, the gospel is the answer for them. I've seen people fall down the wrong path and make mistakes because they think it is fun, or better, but in the long run, they aren't truly happy. Everyone makes mistakes and there is always room to repent of them. The gospel is true, Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live and know each and everyone of us idividually. I bear these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Everything I do is because of the gospel. I live my life by my standards. How I dress, speak, and act is all influenced by the church. I wouldn't be who I am if it wasn't for the gospel. I am very involved in the church. We do many service activities. Often times we visit the elderly, help out families in need, help people move into their new houses, do yard work for people, things like that. I have a calling as the stake youth committee representative for the ward. Each ward has a boy and girl representative that is called to serve with the other representatives in the stake. As the stake youth committee we are in charge of organizing all the youth activities. We come up with the themes for the dances and other things like that. We plan the events for youth conference and the youth temple trips. I enjoy being on the stake youth committee because I get to interact with youth from the other wards and because I get to help plan the events so that the youth can enjoy the activities. I want to make them the best experiences so that they will want to go and enjoy their time. I strive to be the best I can be in fulfilling my calling because it has an effect on all the youth of the church in our stake. I strive to be the best person I can be in everything I do. You can't only go through the actions of the gospel, you have to live it, and live in faith.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Macey!
We believe that families can be together forever if we live righteously and are sealed in the temple to our families. Our families are a huge support system. They are there to hold you up in times of need. Families are one of the greatest gifts from Heavenly Father and we value them. Show more Show less
