Hi I'm Alora Denin Beckwith

I love all Culture. I'm a dancer. I need to know the 'Why?". I'm a laughoholic. I love learning about everything. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Nothing beats reading a fantastical book or a factitious one. The world is my library and I love to read and learn new things. Swimming and banging on my bongos are my other favorite pastimes especially with the ocean involved. I am a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor as well as a Social Media/Technology Expert for older business people. My family is a beautiful close-knit group with only a few screws remaining. I am the second to youngest with 6 siblings. My mission call has recently come in and soon I will be serving an 18 month long mission in Oakland/San Francisco California spreading His love and peace in the Samoan language to those who need it. Through the trials of life I have learned lessons which will carry on in my heart and I will teach to my children. Answers have been found and I know God is always near.

Why I am a Mormon

Because of the constant warm feeling I have every time I live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have a testimony and know that I am truly happy by living the principles and ordinances of the Gospel. I have experienced sadness when I have faltered even as simple as not reading my scriptures in the morning or not going to church one Sunday. I do not plan on missing any lessons He would like me to learn any given day. I know that when I make a mistake I can become clean again through the Atonement of Jesus Christ as long as I forsake my mistake and never repeat it again. Through the Refiner's Fire we are molded and shaped into who our Heavenly Father knows us to become. As long as I choose the right and never forsake my Redeemer I know I will be able to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I live the gospel every day the best I know how. I am constantly learning of our Savior Jesus Christ and how I can better my life. Kindness and forgiving others even those that are very mean is the way to live. The Savior's examples in the New Testament and the Book of Mormon taught me instructions how to have a light within me that allows me to have peace and joy. I never want to lose this feeling within. I am grateful that Heavenly Father loves me as well as my family. I try to be a good example because I have no idea who could be watching me. I love the opportunities that arise when I am able to answer questions my friends or any one asks.
