Hi I'm Shane

I live on a family farm raising seed crops and beef cows. I am a Mormon!

About Me

Going up in the country, I had lots of oppertunities to hunt, ride motorcycles, and even ride horses. I went on a mission to Dallas Texas for two years. After my mission, I finished a collage degree @ Utah State University in Animal Science. I found my wife while attending my last year at college. I've returned home and am farming with my Dad and Brother. We also have a beef cow opperation. My wife and I have four crazy children, 2 girls and 2 boys. Life is full and exciting.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. But everyone at some point has to determind who they are and what they believe. I took seminary classes while I was in High School. The lessons that were taught from the scriptures began to stir with in me. Serving a mission also openned my eyes to the truthfullness of the Gospel. I know God speaks to his prophet, who in turn, speaks to his people. I know living the principles of the Gospel keeps me free from the addictions of the world. It also saves me from silly to degrading trends that cycle through life. I enjoy the peace it gives me through the teachings of Jesus Christ. I am greatful to know that I am a son of a loving Heavenly Father that wants me to reach my greatest potential. He wants me to return to a Heavenly Home! Jesus Christ teaches us how to return home, and provided the atonement to accomplish it. This is a wonderful time to be alive. Because I know that this life is a time to prepare to meet God, I strive harder to live a life that qualifies me for a Heavenly Home.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the executive secretary to the Bishop. I help with setting up interviews, agendas for various meetings, cordinating activites and scheduals. I also help with making decisions with other callings in the ward. I am also a Home Teacher. This gives me the oppertunity to serve other families in the ward. It's fun to check in with these families and their activities. It's also a privliage to be of help when the occassion arrise.
