Hi I'm Selina

I grew up in Idaho, I love being outdoors & competing in sports. I love to smile & hang out with family & friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an outgoing hard working farm girl. I love to do anything outdoors, camping, hiking, rappelling, skiing, ect. I also love playing sports. All throughout high school and college I competed in several sports such as volleyball, basketball, softball, track. Just to name a few. I went and graduated from Brigham Young University Idaho. When I was there I met my wonderful husband, we have been married a little over 4 years. We don't have any children but hope one day our family will be expanded. I have two pets my hermit crab Gordo, (I have had him for almost 7 years) and my small dog Foxy (who I just got this last March). I love to garden, my favorite part is to go out and munch. I love seeing all my flowers come up and bloom. I like to travel and see new places. If I have to choose a place to go it would be Hawaii. My favorite hobbies I like to do are sewing, reading, and scrap booking. I try to brighten other peoples day by smiling. I am one that likes to laugh and have fun.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I've grown up in the church and my parents are also Mormon but that is not the reason why. I'm a Mormon because I know it is true, I have felt a warm burning feeling in my heart. I know that my savior lives and he knows and loves me. I have read the Book of Mormon several times and I know it is true. At times when I have felt alone, I have knelt in prayer and have felt a indescribable love. I have listen to our prophets voice and know that he will guide us. I'm a Mormon because I am happy. I don't know where I would be if I didn't have some direction in my life.

How I live my faith

I work a lot with young women from ages 12-18. I teach mainly 12 to 13 year old girls. We have a lesson every Sunday and every Wednesday night we go do an activity that the girls have planned. Some of our activities have included, helping children with handicaps play baseball, invited younger girls to come and have their nails and hair done, getting into shape, and having scavenger hunts. This past summer we took the youth of our church on a youth conference to Martin's Cove, a historic site in WY. We dressed up like pioneers and pulled hand carts. This gave the youth a small idea what our ancestors went through when crossing the plains. Also this past summer I was a unit leader for girls camp. Girls from ages 12-18 are invited to come learn about how to survive in the out doors and about our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. It was the one week out of my summer that I loved and I will keeping going back as long as I can. We sing songs, do skits, and have fun. It is often that we will take a Saturday out of the month and do some type of service for someone in need. I want to be the type of person people can rely on, so I try to be a good example by smiling, working hard, and having a positive attitude.
