Hi I'm Suzy

I raise children, goats, sheep and chickens. I love the science of food (cheese, lacto-fermentation) and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I live on a beautiful mini farm. I raise children, goats, sheep and chickens. I love to milk my goats and use the milk for cheese. I love the science of food. I have a degree in Home Economics (now Family and Consumer Science). I preserve food in many ways freezing, canning, drying and lacto-fermentation. I am a firm believer in eating as natural as possible. It is not so much I love to cook I just love to eat well. The sheep we use for meat and the wool. With the wool I weave and knit. In the winter I make hats and hats and hats for my family and others. Some of the wool we process at home and some we send out. I love to be active. Exercise is a big part of my life. If I am grouchy a member of my family might comment that I have not exercised today. I am a get done in the morning person and have trouble staying awake at night.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up Mormon. I have stayed Mormon because I have a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ is about finding peace in a troubled world. It is the strength and love of families. It is the knowledge that I am a child of God. I may be one but I am so very important. I am a firm believer that one person can make a difference. The gospel of Jesus Christ involves action/doing.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my reading scriptures and praying both individually and as a family. I have served in many ways and currently I am teaching primary age children. I love working and teaching children. I volunteer at the local elementary school. I try to reach out and help others.
