Hi I'm Emily

I'm a normal teenager with a normal dramatic life living in the rainy land of washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the kind of person who cant stand sitting still for too long, cant handle awkward silences, and who loves to be involved and in the middle of pretty much everything. I was raised by about the most perfect parents possible (which has been pointed out to me more times than i can count), so a lot of the time im just trying to live up to the standard they have set. I love the stage- whether I'm acting, singing, or just standing there with a friend or two staring out into the spotlights. i also love almost anything outdoors, especially swimming and soccer. I'm just another kid who loves laughing, singing, and baking cupcakes- but one day I'm going to make a difference. Right now I am serving a mission in the Washington DC South mission, aka Northern Virginia!! I love my mission and I love this opportunity to give God my very best!!

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ is my life. there is nothing else i could be, or would ever want to be. without it, i know i wouldn't be anywhere near the person i want to be and am hopefully getting closer to being day by day. I'm thankful for the gospel daily, when i see the places my friends are stuck in because of choices they made that I've been warned against since the day i was born. I was born into the gospel, which i feel I am lucky for since there have been so many times in my life where i have felt completely alone, and had no one but my Heavenly Father. I have also had several hard periods in my life when i felt like i wasn't worth anyone's time- but eventually, when i went looking for the Lord's comfort, I was able to see my worth as a daughter of god. He is always waiting for us to turn to Him, and He has proven that to me countless times in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith on a daily basis. there's the obvious things like scripture study and prayers (and the fact that I'm serving a mission), but then there is also the way i treat people, how i dress, and how I try to be a friend to those people who really need them. Something I have been so grateful for during my time serving in the DC South Mission is that I have had the opportunity to genuinely change, and when I bear my testimony of becoming a new person through the atonement of Jesus Christ people can tell that it's something I know of first hand. I love to serve, and I love the people I serve, and I know that they can really feel that.
