Hi I'm Doug

I'm a Mormon (LDS). I grew up in small town in Californian. My family and I move 3 years ago to a place where life is much better.

About Me

I am teenager that is currently enrolled in High school. I love to write poetry, draw, and read. I have dealt with depression almost my whole life. Ever since I moved out of my old home my problems have gone away. Old ones are still with me, but I struggle with them. New ones come up, but I can still be a happy person. The sorrows that I carry with me bring me down, but when I go to church its as if my problems go away. I will still have the problems, but I know God loves me and has a plan for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and my parents grew up in it as well. The one thing that a lot of people have problems with is that they don't have a testimony of the gospel. They live off of their parents. That's my problem, I have to know and understand if this is the true church and its what I want. I stay being Mormon because I fell and enjoy the teachings that are taught to me. I fell the Holy Ghost strengthening and growing inside me as I discover my own testimony.

How I live my faith

I live my life with strong belief in the church. Every Sunday I go to church with my family and worship the God we love. I participate in every Sunday school classes so I can get a further understanding of the Gospel. Three hours a day seems a lot to some people, but for me I wish it was a little bit longer. After church I love to go home and relax and pray. Some of these things are hard for me. I am not perfect and I forget somethings, but the love for God is what makes me happy.
