Hi I'm Conner McLeod

I was born in Seattle Washington, I now live in Arizona. I play Highschool football, I'm an eagle scout, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey my name is Conner. I was born in Seattle Washington and I now live in Gilbert Arizona. I just recently graduated from Campo Verde Highschool, and I am 18 years old. In 5 days I leave to go and serve a 2 year mission in Quetzaltenango Guatemala! I am going to the Guatemalan MTC and I am really excited. I have 3 little sisters and one little brother, I am the oldest of 5. I love playing football and volleyball, and I love going out shooting and hunting. I want to go to either BYU Provo, UVU, or Utah State when I come back from Guatemala.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born into a family that was active in the church so i guess technically I was born a Mormon. I grew up in my family going to church every Sunday and praying every night. I really didn't have a choice when I was young whether or not I wanted to be a member of this church. But, as everyone does eventually, I found the truth for myself. When I was a junior in high school, I shattered my shoulder in the first varsity football game of the season; I had just won the starting quarterback spot, and I was really depressed after my season had ended that abruptly. After my 2 surgeries, 4 weeks of bed rest really gave me a lot of time to soul search. At first, thoughts of, "why did god let this happen to me??" and, "haven't I been righteous and loyal?" crossed my mind. But with all of that time on my hands, I was able to read the book of Mormon all the way through. When I got to Moroni's promise at the end of the book of Mormon, I decided to pray and ask for myself if the book of Mormon, and the Mormon religion, was true. Today I am 18 years old, I am leaving for Guatemala in 1 week to serve a 2 year mission, I am the oldest of 5, and I am not just a Mormon, but a Mormon who found out for himself if the church was true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. While I was on different high school sports teams I would invite nonmember teammates to pray with me for safety and success before games. I am soon leaving to serve a 2 year mission in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. While I am there I will be able to preach the gospel and teach others by being an example to them, and by doing service for them. I try to live my faith wherever I am, regardless of who I am with. In addition, I was able to lead different service groups that helped to improve our community and the people in it.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Conner McLeod
No way!! Mormons care about their neighbors regardless of their race, gender, religion, sexuality, political party, or social class. Mormons know that if Jesus were on the earth, he would help as many people as he could regardless of who they are or where they are from. Jesus loves us all the same, this is why mormons have been helping people regardless of demographics all over the world. Show more Show less
