Hi I'm Candace.

I'm a wife and mother of two. I'm a picture taking & baking desserts enthusiast. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two kids that I am lucky enough to stay home with. My husband and I are high school sweethearts. My little family is the joy & light in my life. I adore spending time with them, my family and my husband's family - especially since we all live in the area. I love taking pictures and am educating myself more on photography. Making & preserving memories for my family is a big priority for me - part of which is putting together mini movies of our family. I started a cake decorating business a couple years ago and will take it up again once my kiddos are older. I absolutely love baking pastries & desserts. Music is a huge part of my life - I can't live without it! My other hobbies include singing, dancing, playing piano, reading & walking.

Why I am a Mormon

Belonging to this church gives me comfort on this journey through life. I am humbled and blessed every day by following the teachings of Christ and the teachings from our Prophet & Apostles today. Although there are trials and stumbling blocks along the way, I am guided and inspired when I pray for help and inspiration from my Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to "draw near unto Him" and He will "draw near unto us." I am always so comforted by that. One big thing for me is that our families are forever. I was married to my husband in the Seattle Temple where we were sealed together for time and all eternity. We are not just married for our time here on this Earth - we are together forever. Which means I can be with my kids and the rest of my family for eternity as well. I have lost close family members so I am comforted knowing I will be reunited with them again someday when I pass on. I am not perfect - every day I am trying to make my weaknesses strengths. Because of the atoning sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ, I can repent and become better & more like Him. He is our perfect example, and I'm grateful that I have Him to follow. I would be lost without this Gospel!

How I live my faith

Right now I am serving in the Primary presidency and am so lucky to be helping kids in our ward feel the love of their Heavenly Father. It's so neat to see them grown and learn in the gospel. I get to participate in visiting teaching - I visit women in the ward at least once a month to share a message and help them in any way I can. It is so uplifting as we feel the spirit together and grow closer to one another!
