Hi I'm Jenni

I am a Mormon. I am a wife and a Mommy. I am a daughter of God!

About Me

I grew up in a military family moving all around the United States and even a couple overseas locations. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Human Development and then with a Master's from USU. Between my educational degrees I served an LDS mission in Portugal and Cape Verde. Now, I am mother to three amazing children who fill my life with joy and laughter as well as challenges. My husband is an amazing man who works very hard to allow me to stay home and mother our children. I enjoy several hobbies like crocheting, photography, teaching piano, gardening and sewing.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a 10 year old girl my mother had the great idea to invite over representatives of several different denominations over a period of time. At that tender age my mother gave me the choice and education to make a decision for myself about going to church. Being born into an LDS family some would think that becoming a Mormon was not really a choice. My parents gave us all the choice to decide what to believe. They gave us the facts and let us decide. Later when I was 14 our youth group went on a trip to visit the farm where Joseph Smith lived when he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I was able to enter the same grove of trees and offer my pittance of a prayer. Ironically, my prayer was answered and my faith bolstered. I did not see deity but I did feel the power of the Holy Spirit testify that this church is true. That experience stays with me to this day. Whenever my faith lacks I can draw on my memories and remember what it is that the church brings to me: Faith live a rushing river. Because of my faith and conversion I served as a missionary. Teaching the gospel brought me even closer to the core principles taught in the LDS faith: faith, repentance, baptism, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and endurance.

How I live my faith

At this current time my husband and I teach the 18 month to 3 year old kids in our "ward" unit. We have 11 kids to teach at their tender age about Heavenly Father and Jesus. We are amazed at how much these young kids love to learn about Jesus. It is a humbling experience in between the fun chaos of caring for the kids. I am also able to visit three amazing ladies each month. My friend and I visit the ladies in their home each month to make sure everything is ok and for moral support. I also receive the same visits!
