Hi I'm Terica

I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. Families are forever! I am happy I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to garden, read books, search out family history/stories, travel around our great United States! I hope to ramp up the traveling over the next few years. I have learned recently that I enjoy drawing. As I went to art classes with students I was able to explore something I never had a chance to do. I liked it. Most of my life has had some type of music, mostly choirs. I have dabbled with playing the piano. When my oldest son was in band I realized I love drum lines. I love that percussion. I have two sons. One is married and one is at home. I work in our local school district and am blessed to have a job I love! Sunday nights are never a dread thinking about going back to work. I am blessed to have great friends and to be able to be an "auntie" to my friends kiddos. We have fun hanging out with or without the kids.

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager growing up I realized most of my friends had something that I felt was missing in my life. They had faith. I searched and went to a variety of churches during those years. Some with friends and some by myself. When I was in college I was invited to a "cottage meeting". I felt like I had found what I was missing. I joined our church 35 years ago and have never regretted that decision. Each phase of my life I have opportunity to learn and continue to grow closer to my Savior. To know of his love for me. To realize how much he loves me, to carry my pain, heartache, sorrows, to be there for me in all my trials. AND, he is always happy to be there to share my joys. To laugh with me, feel my pride in accomplishments. I know families can be forever, that the Savior loves me and is my friend, that Heavenly Father wants us to come back to him. I know God gives us a way to have guidance through the scriptures and modern day prophets. I know the Holy Ghost can be my constant companion. The Holy Ghost is the only way any of us can come to know the truth of Gods words, laws, and expectations. Through prayer and a sincere heart the Holy Ghost will witness the truthfulness of all things.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by "doing unto others as I would like it done unto me". I try to be respectful, honest and law abiding. I try to be supportive to others in their needs, "mourn with those who mourn". I try to learn from my mistakes and move forward. I try to be loving. My husband and I like to give service in many different ways. We have helped with scouting, school youth activities, soup kitchens, Deseret Industries, and through our visiting teaching/home teaching callings. Giving service is a happy place to be! It can really point out all we have to be thankful for.
