Hi I'm Greg

I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada ..... and was the only one in my family to join the church when I was 12 years old. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Greg, I am a convert to the church of many years. I joined when I was 12 years old, and was the only person to join the church in my family. There was never a time in my life that I did not know that my Heavenly Father lived and that He loved me and had a plan for my life. As a young child, I remember having an intense desire to talk to my Father in Heaven.....and doing so, the best way i knew how.... with a little prayer book my parents bought me. Later I came to know that I did not need a book....only a desire to kneel in private, humble prayer before my Father and pour my heart out to him. He hears and answers prayer. Later I went on to serve a 2 year mission for the church in Italy and , upon my return, married my high school sweetheart. She is also a convert. We married in one of the churches sacred temples, where we were married for time and all eternity. There was no ''until death do you part" in our marriage contract. We are a forever family.

Why I am a Mormon

The fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth....I know this is true beyond question. I have experienced many private miracles in my life, and I am so grateful to the Lord for letting me find out for myself that these things are true...I didn't have to rely on anyone else. I did what the Lord asked me to do at the end of the Book of Mormon and I got my answer (Moroni 10:3-5). Joining this church has been the best thing I have ever done. Each of our children have served full time missions and can independently testify of the things I have said here. Stay faithful to the Lord and He will ALWAYS keep His promises. That is without question to me.

How I live my faith

I have done many things in the kingdom of God....I've held many callings teaching the youth and in the Boy Scout of America program in the church...I have had administrative callings in the wards and stakes of the church.... and have enjoyed each of my callings tremendously. The Lord has taken me out of my comfort zone quite frequently, but as I have approached each calling with faith and humility, I have grown spiritually and God has made more out of me than I could have imagined possible. Most recently I have served as a Bishop of a local Ward of about 500 members and have experienced many sweet and sacred spiritual experiences as I have prayed to my Father in behalf of my fellow brothers and sisters. There is no doubt in my mind that revelation is a real principle in the restored church. I have experienced it many times, first hand and personal....and I am grateful to my Father in Heaven and to my Savior Jesus Christ for these blessings.
