Hi I'm Marcinelle

I am the wife of a good man and the mother of six marvelous children. I am a high school history teacher and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a happy woman married to the love of my life for thirty plus years. I am the fortunate mother of six marvelous children whom I frequently refer to as the, "Sensational Six". I love being a wife and mother. I am also an accomplished homemaker. Quite possibly, I make the most delicious homemade whole wheat bread others have ever eaten! My talents include sewing- clothes, curtains, blankets, tablecloths, etc. Music has been an important part of my life and I play the piano and the violin. Education is another significant part of my life. The opportunity of graduating from the University of Utah before I married my husband was a wonderful achievement. Twenty-one years later, I had the opportunity to graduate from Arizona State University with a master's degree in education. I am a high school history teacher. I teach World History to sophomores and AP European History to juniors and seniors. I enjoy teaching high school students. I also enjoy taking my Australian Shepherd dog for a two-mile walk each morning before school. Seeing how excited Maverik gets to go on a walk reminds me daily that sometimes the simplest tasks bring joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born to faithful LDS parents who taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ from my earliest infancy. Dad held the priesthood and gave me blessings when I was ill and at the beginning of each school year. My mother taught me to be a refined Latter-day Saint young woman with attributes of virtue and modesty. Our home was a happy one. We worked, played, and worshiped together. My parents taught me to love the Lord Jesus Christ and to love to keep His commandments. I wanted to continue that joy with my own family when I got married.

How I live my faith

It is my desire to stand as a witness of Christ at all times and in all things and in all places. I radiate the joy that comes from living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Frequently my high school students ask me why I am so happy. If they only knew that it is because I have made sacred temple covenants with my Savior that have brought me unsurpassed peace and joy in my life. I love my family and want to spend eternity with them by being kind, loving, and forgiving in my relationships with them.
