Hi I'm Andrew

I design and build satellites, I'm a husband and dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as an engineer in the space business, and really enjoy it. I love to work hard and produce a fine product with a great team. Especially in these troubled economic times, my goal is to keep our company healthy and successful. I enjoy working and playing with my wife and children. There is always plenty of work and chores to do, but we also love hiking, biking, and just taking walks. Occasionally we slip away on a vacation. I love the feeling of having my whole family together and going somewhere exciting. I really love my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Church attendance is a big boost to me each week- like a dose of medicine. It lifts me and gives me more purpose and direction. I usually go home feeling more love toward my family and all God's children. I want to be a little better and trying a little harder. At church I am surrounded by others who feel the same way. It is such a boost. I have read the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and teaching of modern day apostles. I'm no scholar, but these truths combine together and make a lot of sense to me. On the spiritual side, they feel right and true. I consider the verse, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20) and to me the fruit is very good.

How I live my faith

At work I have come to realize our company success is not about us as individuals, but has a more important purpose of providing a living so we can support our families. My motto at work is,"You can do the most good in this world if you don't care who gets the credit". I am most successful at work as I remember and adhere to Christian values on the job. I enjoy giving because I feel like I am assisting our Heavenly Father help his children in a small way. To me giving is about enabling others to move along in life, to grow, to become self sufficient, and to turn around and help others. I want to be part of that. In my personal life I try to follow the teaching of Jesus Christ in my interactions with others. He has given me the wonderful opportunity to repent, so I try to give others a break as well. I am grateful to understand the purpose of life and how it applies to me, my family, and all God's children. I look at my wife and children as eternal beings with great value in God's eyes. These truths are very significant for me. I'm grateful to know them.
