Hi I'm Kevin Gollihur

I love cars. I play sports any chance I get. I know my Heavenly Father loves me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 5 children. I grew to love all kinds of sports. I played basketball and baseball in high school. Cars are my passion, and I love just cruising around when I'm bored. I even went to college to learn more about cars.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a member of the church. My parents were already members. I had gone through the motions when I was little because I had friends and church and liked seeing them. As I grew older, I started to realize how much God really helps me in my life. I understand that He loves me, and I know that the true gospel of His church was restored on the earth through a Prophet, Joseph Smith. I know Joseph Smith translated the gold plates into what we know now as the Book of Mormon. I feel the Holy Ghost in my life and how it guides and directs me, and gives me a happiness that is indescribable. I am thankful to know where I came from and where I am going after this life. I know all of this from reading the Book of Mormon and asking God by prayer to let me know if these things were true. He gave me a warm peaceful understanding that this is the right church and it is directly from God.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for my church in Denver, CO. I love meeting new people, and sharing the gospel with others. Some people see us as salesmen, or weird people, or that all we care about is the number of people we baptize. This is not true and I will tell you why. I am on a mission because I have a happiness that guides and directs my life. I want to share that with others, and help them come closer to Christ through helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. Our message is to invite, and the most important value we all have is our agency. We do not force anything upon anyone. The only reason we are so enthusiastic about our calling, is that we want others to feel the Spirit, and experience the joy that we have througout our lives. I am thankful to be a servant of the Lord. I hope you can make room in your hearts, and have the desire to come closer to Christ and hear a message the missionaries have for you.
