Hi I'm Terrell Deloss Hoskins

I was born and raised and continue to live in southeast Idaho. I'm a Mormon. I love my Savior.

About Me

I am a happily married man. My wife and I have 6 children and 5 grand-children. I have been a member of the church all my life. Two of our children are on the other-side of the veil. We had one baby who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome at 5 weeks old. Our oldest son is a graduate of West Point. He had a bout with depression after graduation. He took his own life a year later. We are so proud of him. I know that this is part of God's plan and if we will submit ourselves to him, even these terrible experiences will build us and help us to become the individuals our Heavenly Father wants us to become. He only wants the best for us. Only one of our remaining children is active in the church. We pray for them daily that their eyes and hearts will be opened to come back into the Lord's fold.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because it is our Savior's plan of happiness. We cannot find happiness any other way. This is true, it took me many years of life (being active in the church) to realize that. I love the Lord Jesus Christ. His light in my life is something that nothing else in life can hold a candle to. I want to live my life so I am a good example to those I come in contact with. I want to be a better missionary. I did not go on a mission as a young man, but hope to with my wife when I retire in a upcoming years.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as the Bishop of the Shelley 2nd Ward. I love to speak in church and work with the good brothers & sisters in our Shelley 2nd Ward. My wife and I also worked at the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple on the Friday One Shift. With this new calling we had to postpone further work as Temple Ordinance workers. I encourage anyone to take advantage of serving at the Temple. It is a great experience and you get to work with so many wonderful individuals. There is such a wonderful feeling working there. How tender the mercies of Father In Heaven are. I see his hand in work each and every day. I pray that I will be the best servant I can possibly be for the rest of my mortal existence.
