Hi I'm Jake

I lived in Australia for 12 years, I'm a full time student with a family of 5 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Australia for the last 12 years, where I was blessed with a beautiful family, I have a wonderful Australian wife, and three amazing kids, two girls and one boy, all under five. We now live in Arizona, where I am studying engineering. I enjoy surfing and mountain biking, I play the guitar and write my own songs.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love my savior Jesus Christ and his gospel, and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints is His church, that He is the Head of this Church. He leads us today by revelation through living prophets and apostles, who, having been ordained by and with the authority to act and speak in the Holy name of Christ, lead and guide us in these modern times just as prophets and apostles led the church in ancient times. I know this is the fullness of his gospel, as long promised by the apostle Paul, and that Jesus Christ restored His Church through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It is a second witness of Jesus Christ and stands side by side with the Holy Bible in declaring Jesus as the only Begotton of the Father, the Messiah, and The Savior of the world. I know that Christ atoned for my sins, that it is through his Atonement, Death and Resurection that I can and will be saved with my family for time and all eternity. I know that His salvation is for all men, "both bond and free". Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and invites all men to "come unto him". I'm a Mormon because I am striving to "Follow Him"

How I live my faith

My faith is intertwined with everything I do, it is written upon my heart, I try to live and treat others as my savior would. I love my family and enjoy time playing with them and teaching them, it is a challenge and a joy with young children, they are an amazing combination of; love, forgiveness, selflessness, and faith, and they can be equally as trying as well. I love working with the youth and have enjoyed teaching them in early morning seminary as well as helping in the young men's program. I have also enjoyed participating in the leadership of our church, it is inspiring to work with others who volunteer their time to help others who are struggling. I served as a missionary in Australia for two years, it was a privilege to teach others of our Father in Heaven and his plan for our salvation and happiness. It was an honor to bear witness of my savior Jesus Christ and of his restored gospel. I strive to live my life in keeping with the doctrine of Christ. Retaining a brightness of hope, in all things, and seeking after that which is good and leadeth unto Christ. It is how I wake up, how try I live, and how I end my day.
