Hi I'm Chelsey

I'm a musician, I blog like crazy, while studying to become an elementary education teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I love to sing, play piano, guitar, and just listen to it. I love to read books that uplift me and help me go to different places. I also love blogging and expressing myself through writing. I love applying every day things to different subject. I love being an older sister to two brothers and two sisters. I am a college student who is an elementary education major and continually finding out more about who I am. I am a roommate, a friend, a student, a daughter, a sister, a grand daughter, a teacher, a blogger, and so much more I have yet to find out.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I can feel it whenever I talk about, or learn about, my Savior. I love Him so much and know that He loves all of us on this earth. I know I can be with my family forever if I stay true to what I believe. My family means so much to me. I cannot imagine my life without the gospel. It makes me happy and gives me direction in this crazy world. It helps me stay strong and have strong values that make me who I am. I have also read The Book of Mormon and received my own testimony that it is true. The doctrines found in this book can change lives. It has changed mine and makes me a better person. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet today and that he leads and guides the church on the earth. I cannot deny the truths I know. They mean more than the world to me.

How I live my faith

I keep my standards high. It has been a struggle sometimes, especially in high school, but, I know that it has all been worth it. I love going to church on Sundays and singing to bring in the spirit. I love partaking of the Sacrament and renewing the promises I have made with my Savior. I also try to be an example to others around me and love them how Christ would love them so they can feel of that love.

What is being a Mormon like?

Chelsey
Honestly, sometimes it is very hard. It is hard to watch the world accept things that we do not believe. It can be hard to feel unaccepted by your peers because you believe the purpose of life is different from what they believe. However, it is a wonderful thing. We are taught that, "men are that they might have joy," (2 Nephi 2:25). Life has so many opportunities and being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has given me many of them to stay safe and to have a purpose for my life. I know my Savior and am able to make decisions with His help and not have to just look at my own mortal understanding. So, it can be very difficult being a Mormon but, it is worth every hardship and challenge to become better and more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
