Hi I'm Thomas

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am busy person. I am getting married on December 30th 2011. I am currently working three jobs so that my future wife and I can afford to get married and to pay for our schooling. I attend Arizona State and am majoring in Electrical Engineering. I play guitar in my spare time which means since I proposed I haven't picked it up. I also love watching movies with my fiance. I am a huge Marvel Comics fan and see every new movie they release as soon as I can. I am a computer and technology freak who loves playing with all the new gadgets that are coming out.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and have been taught and raised in the gospel from the start. When I was in High School I struggled with church. I had a lot of heath problems and was not able to serve a mission like all my LDS friends. I felt I was being punished for something and that was why I had so many problems with my health. I struggled for years. I would try to get back into the habit of attending my church meetings but I would quickly make excuses and stop going again. Later on I really sunk to a deeper level of depression and lack of self worth. I felt I would never get out of this hole that I somehow got in. I felt I would never find a young woman who would understand what I went through. One night, I decided to pray to my Heavenly Father, something that I hadn't done in over 3 years. I prayed that I would meet someone and asked for his blessing of happiness. Immediately after rising from my knees, I felt that I should enroll in an Institute class at Arizona State. The next day I picked a class from a teacher that I had taken from before. A couple day into the class, the teacher had us take the first 5 minutes of class to get to know the person sitting next to us. I started talking to the girl sitting next to me. Her name was Kelsey. We talked for the 5 minutes, and throughout the duration of the class, and for another 3 hours after class got out. I asked her on a date, which she agreed to go on. About a month later we started dating. She made me want to be a better person. I wanted to be the best person for her, and I knew the first thing I had to do was to start going back to church. Now, almost a year later, Kelsey and I are looking at our wedding date just a few months away. I have felt the mighty change of heart and the healing power of the Atonement. I have felt my Heavenly Father's love for me, and have felt my Savior, Jesus Christ, help life my burdens. Life isn't perfect, but with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, no trial is impossible.

How I live my faith

I love participating at church. I am one of the Secretaries for the Ward, and am a Home Teacher as well. I love all of the service project that we do. Everyone is so willing to serve in my neighborhood, and there is always something going on. I love that the Scouting program has been adopted in by The Church. There is always an Eagle Project going on, either a food drive, or a project to help others. I also try to go to the Cannery as often as I can. Through the efforts of all the volunteers, so much food is available for those who need it.
