Hi I'm Richard Rampton Sr.

I'm a Mormon & am humbled & honored to be a part to this Church; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

About Me

At the age of two I moved with my family to southern California where I grew up in the city of Inglewood. There I learned to appreciate and love a variety of ethic backgrounds. I grew up in the LDS church and cherished the memories of weekly life including church meetings, being a part of the Boy Scouts of America, and participating in early morning seminary. My family life also included, weekly family meetings that consisted of sometimes family councils, spiritual instructions, fun activities and great refreshments. My young life also included daily prayer and scripture study with my family as a group. Many cherished and special moments occurred during those activities. I'm sure it helped me later in life when dealing with adversity and addiction. To this day I try to continue daily scripture study and prayer and I have seen the benefits from doing so.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon out of choice. I have not only seen as a child the goodness and love people have and show but I have studied much and have received undeniable experiences that support the existence of a Creator. I have built upon those experience to the point that belief has become knowledge. Some experiences are very sacred to me and can only be supported by the existence of something divine, something beyond our natural comprehension, unseen, very surreal!! It was very real. There is a God in heaven and there is a Creator of this earth and a purpose for this earth life!

How I live my faith

I try!!!!! everyday to be better. Am I progressing as fast as my expectations? No. But I keep on trying, never giving up, overcoming weaknesses, serving others, studying daily, praying much, finding ways to help my family and neighbors, never giving up. I know there are forces/passions out there that want to pull me down, or distract me, however by continuing to never give up and doing the things listed above I am becoming better little by little. Did I mention never giving up?
