Hi I'm Laura

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of four great kids who keep me laughing all the time. My husband and I have gone into his family business and now own two little sub sandwich shops in Mesa, Az. I love to bake, play games, go to movies, and just hang out and talk and laugh with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where my mother was a Mormon and my father was not a Mormon. Because of this, I think I had to gain a testimony of the church earlier than perhaps my friends who's both parents were Mormon did. I sometimes struggled with why my dad didn't believe the same things that I believed and felt very strongly that I needed to know without a doubt that this was in fact the gospel of Jesus Christ restored to the earth. I needed to have that conviction for myself and not rely on my mother's and grandparent's testimonies. I'm a Mormon because I would be nothing without this gospel. I know without a doubt that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. I know that not only did he take on my sins but he also took on all of my sorrows and worries, and pain. I know this because I lived it. When I could bear no more, He took it from me. I know that Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ in the grove of trees when he needed to know what church to join. I know this because I have felt an overwhelming assurance throughout my life that this indeed did happen. Heavenly Father has answered my prayers time and time again and has helped me to find my testimony.

How I live my faith

I currently serve the teenage girls ages 12-18 in our church. I learn and grow more every week from these girls. They have so many more trials and temptations these days than I had to deal with. I am always amazed at their strength and ability to handle their day to day struggles.
