Hi I'm Ashley Jeanette.

I'm a dancer. I'm a teacher. I'm an artist. I'm a vegan. I'm a wife. I'm a Yoga instructor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a BA in Dance, married my best friend, Jeremy, and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I grew up in Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Arkansas, Indiana, and Louisiana. I was homeschooled and started college when I was 16. As a kid growing up you could always find me dancing in my spare time. Now I teach dance to kids ranging from age 2-Adult and teach Yoga to ALL ages. I enjoy finding ways Yoga and dance compliment each other as well as Yoga and the Gospel. I'm fascinated by the body, mind, spirit connection and believe that most, if not all, gospel principles and commandments help strengthen the body and mind as well as the spirit. I hope to write a book on it some day. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am proud to say that I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as the Mormon church. I strive to continuously follow the teachings found in the scriptures and from the prophets because it gives me light, hope, and direction. Through the gospel I find faith and charity, not only for myself but from myself. I am a better person because of the lessons I have learned through the Holy Spirit.

How I live my faith

I teach the children of the church every Sunday with my husband. We teach boys and girls who are 8 to 11 years old. Through this important assignment I am able to learn the simple gospel principles and discover new ways of thinking from the kids themselves. It is truly amazing how much the young children of the church know. I am blessed every week to be apart of their learning and to have the opportunity to witness their quiet innocent example that is described in Mosiah 3:19, "becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."
