Hi I'm Chris

I'm a husband and father, a graphic designer, I own more shoes than my wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married for 6 years. I have a very active and mostly happy 2-year-old son and will have a second son in February 2012. I design in-store signage for a sporting goods retailer and love anything to do with design. I like to play basketball and in a past life liked to snowboard and skateboard. Born in Texas, raised in Colorado, went to college in Utah and I am back living not too far from where I grew up.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has always been strong in the Church, all the way back to its very early years. I have loving and supportive parents and grand parents who love and live the Gospel. They have been great examples of what it means to love and serve. Still, I wandered from the Church at one point in my life. I came to a point when I had to choose one way of life over the other. I learned for myself that living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brought me great happiness and an eternal perspective on life, something that was missing at times. Being a Mormon means that I have a family here on earth, as well as generations of loved-ones in heaven who have prepared the way for me in this life. I look forward to being with my family for eternity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by learning more about Jesus Christ and his teachings. I attend meetings on Sunday with my family. We pray together morning and night to thank the Lord for all that he has blessed our family with. We also pray for guidance and comfort in our everyday trials. I do my best to serve people in the community. Service provides me the opportunity to bless the lives of others who stand in need. Until recently, my wife and I have taught the 4-year-olds in Sunday School. It has been a wonderful opportunity to introduce the young children to Gospel topics like prayer, the creation, Jesus and our Heavenly Father, blessings, being thankful, helping others and the scriptures.
