Hi I'm Bethany

I'm a stay at home mom of an infant with another on the way! I'm an online student, a military wife, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Married to an Air Force ROTC Cadet, newlywed, loves life and learning new things

Why I am a Mormon

I've thought about this before. Why would I not be a Mormon? is the better question. My whole life I have known that The Church of Jesus Christ of LDS IS true. My whole life I have felt that warm assurance as I have pondered this question. My whole life I have been blessed with the knowledge that THERE IS A GOD IN HEAVEN, and HE IS MY GOD, MY FATHER, MY FRIEND. "Well, if there is a God in Heaven," you may ask, "then why do BAD things happen to GOOD people?" I've wondered this too. As my friends father battled cancer for years and finally the cancer prevailed, as my own Father battled cancer and for some reason his life was spared, as I have learned that close friends had been molested or injured due to others selfish and evil acts, as I have had my own personal and difficult trials. The answer I have found true every time? God is a loving God. Bad things happen to good people because from every situation we learn and grow, and if we are not the ones coming away with something from it, someone around us is. I have learned that good people go through incredibly hard times because Heavenly Father knows us, He knows we are strong. He knows that we have the capability to go through the trial and then turn around and help others that are not strong enough to get through their trial on their own. We represent HOPE for them. Why often the innocent? Like I shared with my friend that was molested, "You may go through something that is painful and you wonder' WHY ME GOD, WHY ME? YOU HAVE LEFT ME, YOU AREN'T HELPING ME THROUGH THIS.' But I tell you He is. In your troubled times, has someone you loved smiled at you or visited you? Have you felt joy when you saw something in nature or felt warm by a fire? God has not left you, He is there helping you through your pain. HE LOVES YOU. If you feel an ounce of peace, hope, love, joy, that is God. He sends it through friends, strangers, things, ideas, dreams, and in more ways than we can imagine. Don't cut God out, but let Him in."

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being friends with those around me. By being honest and happy. By living what I believe through the way I treat others. I participate in my church meetings and callings and value family and friendships.
