Hi I'm Ben Hansen

I'm the oldest of six kids. I LOVE American Football. I was part of a championship show choir. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Indiana my whole life. I grew up in a large family as the oldest of six kids, four boys and two girls. My dad is a Radiologist and my mom is a singer. I love chemistry and math. I played football as a kid, and absolutely love watching and playing football for fun. I had a job while in high school at McDonalds! I have played the piano for ten years, and have accompanied a show choir. I have also been a member of a wonderful mixed show choir, and a chamber choir. I was a lead in two musicals in high school as well, and love to sing, dance, and fill my life with music.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who are Mormons, so as a child, I was a Mormon because of my parents and family. Eventually though, I had to find out for myself what I believed to be true. Through various experiences at church camps and through reading the Book of Mormon, I was able to learn for myself that this is the true church. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true and inspired work of God, and that it was brought into the world by a true prophet of God, Joseph Smith, who restored the true church of Jesus Christ to the Earth. I have felt the Hold Ghost in my life testify to me that these things are true, and that the president of our church, Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet today, as much a prophet as Moses and Abraham. I know this church is true, and is the way to pure and absolute happiness in this life.

How I live my faith

I am an active participant in the Young Men's program in my home town. I help plan the youth group activities we do, and lead these same activities often. Recently, I received a call to serve as a missionary in the Manaus Brazil Mission! I will leave for that area soon to preach the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the people of Brazil, all day every day. While I wait for my visa, I am serving in the New York Rochester Mission! I am very excited to have this opportunity to tell people about the gospel teach them the joyous message that the LDS church has to offer to the world.
