Hi I'm Leslie

I'm a wife, a mother, and a friend. I love running, sewing, and yoga! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am so blessed to be able to stay at home and take care of my kids. I love it, even though sometimes I need to remind myself of that. I knew as a little kid that I wanted to be a mom when I grew up. I wanted to be like my mom. I have found motherhood to be full of love, anger, fun, hardship, patience, impatience, trials, and blessings, and growing. Children are so fun and cute! I love spending time with them. I love my husband. I have learned that the secret to happiness in our marriage lies with me. If I am nice and loving, so is he! Neither of us are perfect, but we are doing our best. I love to spend time with him. I love my friends. I have been so blessed to have so many good friends in my life. They are people who are good examples, who lift me up and make me laugh. I love to run. I have been running for about 20 years. No one else wanted to do long distance in high school, so I did it for a chance to earn a letter. Running gets my day going and helps me to feel good about life. I have always loved the outdoors. I love the beauty of the earth and sunshine! I have recently discovered I love to sew, crochet, and knit. It is so awesome to create. I'm not perfect by all means, but I always feel satisfied after I finish a project.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I love the Lord. I love my Father in Heaven. I know He has a plan for me. I have felt His love. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He came to earth and lived a perfect life. He taught His gospel and organized His church by calling apostles. He suffered for my sins and died for me so that I can repent and Live with Him again. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus love me. I am a mormon because of this. I want to do what Heavenly Father would have me do. I have felt their love as I have learned about Joseph Smith, how he prayed in the sacred grove and saw God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I have read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. I know it is the word of God. It bring so much peace into my life. I know there is a living prophet today, President Monson. I am so grateful for a living prophet and apostles in this day and age. They teach me of Jesus Christ and how I can live as He would have me. They teach me how to raise a family, how to be a good wife, mother, and friend. I am so grateful for temples. They are the house of God where we can make covenants with Him. These covenants provide protection and joy to me. I love the gospel. I feel joy as I live it!

How I live my faith

I am busy. Every day I try to do what the Lord would have me do. First, I live my faith by praying and reading my scriptures every morning when I wake up. I try to put the Lord first, so He can direct me in all that I do. I am continually teaching my children and helping my husband. I have had many opportunities to serve in our church. I get to take dinners to those in need, babysit children, help organize events for the women of our church. I visit women monthly and talk about the gospel. I participate in meetings to discuss the needs of those around me. I get to help in my children's schools. I get opportunities to meet people and be a friend. This church provides so many opportunities to serve. This service provides so many blessings to me and my family.

Are Mormons Christians?

Absolutely! We love our Savior, Jesus Christ. He is the head of our Church. He is the center of our families and our lives. We strive to have a personal relationship with Him. We study His words through the scriptures, we pray daily, we keep the commandments, we attend church and partake of the sacrament that He gave to us, we go to our temples and worship Him! He suffered for our sins, He died for us, and He was resurrected. Because He did this, He overcame spiritual death and physical death. We can pray to a loving Heavenly Father in Jesus Christ name and KNOW that He is listening and we know we can be forgiven of sins because of Jesus Christ. We can be with our families forever because of Him. We take His name upon us when we are baptized. That means we strive to be like Him. Show more Show less
