Hi I'm Alex

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving a mission to Washington DC South. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming community in Utah. My dad is a farmer so that is what i did growing up. I love to work with my hands and be outside. being in a house or a building. With being outside I also enjoy hunting and fishing. I mostly do big game hunts like deer and elk. My other hobbies are four-wheeling out on the sand duns. Living in a small town I'm able to going camping with friends. Sitting around the fire talking about the future and fun times of the past. I also enjoy playing sports, I was able to play: football, basketball and soccer in high school. I have completed high school, and I am currently serving a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, to Washington DC South. After the mission i plan on going to collage. I'm not for sure where to yet but I will find out soon enough.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason i know that this is His church is by seeing others who lost a loved one and don't know if they will ever see that person again. With being a member of the LDS church we are taught that death is not the end. That we are going to be able to live with are loved ones once again in the presence of God. With this knowledge and other things that i have learned I don't know why I would want something different where you don't know what will happen after we are through here. It is also the love, the happiness and joy that the members have and I have in living and following His gospel.

How I live my faith

The church is about service, we give of are time to help others expecting nothing in return. I have been able to help elderly people with their yard work and other chores that they are not able to do or that are to big for them to handle. In the church we are assigned family's in the ward to go and visit once a month to see how they are doing and if they need help with anything. Even if some one is not of are faith we will help them the same as we would anyone else. So the service that we preform is for everyone just as Jesus did when he was on the earth. The current way that i show my devotion to the faith is by serving a mission for two years in Washington D.C., I'm grateful for this opportunity.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?
