Hi I'm Deborah

I grew up in Washington State, I am a mom, a hairstylist, manager and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a hair designer for 22 years. I currently manage a children and family Salon. I am also the mother of five. My oldest daughter is married and has two of her own children. I have another daughter and son at home as well as two step sons that live with us full time. I had the opportunity a few years ago to take some college courses which I really enjoyed. My oldest stepson has Aspbergers, ADHD and adjustment disorder. Learning more about these things and how to deal with them has been a challenge as well as enlightening.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had many challenges in my life. As I have experienced the different situations I have also felt the hand of the lord leading and guiding me. I have been able to feel peace and serenity even in the most difficult circumstances. As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have learned that I am a daughter of God, that he loves me, and wants me to be happy. I have learned to set goals, to endure all situations and to always move forward. Everything I have learned as a member of his church has been good. There hasn't been anything negative or that would cause me to feel uncomfortable in any way. I follow the teachings because of the love I feel, not out of fear or guilt. As a member of the church I have the freedom to be the best person I can be. I believe that my spirit will continue to live even when my time comes to leave this earth. I know that I can be with my family and friends again.

How I live my faith

I look forward to attending church every Sunday. It gives me the opportunity to feel the spirit and to hear uplifting talks and messages from other members. It is a special day different than any other day during the week. I kind of feel like it's my serenity and is what keeps me going. I am currently one of the leaders in our youth group for the young women. I thoroughly enjoy working with them. We have activities one night a week. We have the opportunity to do fun activities as well as service projects and more spiritual learning.
