Hi I'm Terry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Navy wife, my husband is a retired Navy Master Chief, and we have 8 children. I am a cancer survivor, a grandmother of 9 so far and I work full time. I love family, children, cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, family history, and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by my mother in the Mormon faith and baptized when I was 8. Both of my parents were great examples of love and service. I gained a love for the scripture stories in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon while I was growing up and have found that I can find an answer for any problem in life in the scriptures. God has not left us alone or without guidance. He loves us and wants us to find great joy in living. My life experiences have taught me that living the commandments of God brings us greater happiness than we could have ever imagined on our own. The Holy Ghost has born witness to me that God does live, that he is our Father in Heaven, that his Son Jesus Christ lived on this earth and is our greatest example of how to live the commandments and love others. I know that Jesus Christ died for us that we could repent of our sins and eventually gain eternal life. A life worth living!

How I live my faith

My faith is my life. Don’t get me wrong – I am not perfect! But each day gives me the opportunity to try again to love others, serve them and to be happy. I find that studying my scriptures daily opens windows in my mind. Windows I didn’t know were there and light streams in. Through prayer with my Heavenly Father I have gained comfort and peace through long military deployments, knowledge of how to work with our children, comfort that life goes on through the eternities when my parents and brother died. I have enjoyed and gained many skills in working with others in my church experiences, from working in the nursery, to teaching, searching family history and major organizational skills. I have found great joy in my life and look forward to many more opportunities of joy through living the gospel of Jesus Christ, my Savior and Exemplar.
