Hi I'm Jeff

I live in Queen Creek AZ, with my wife and 5 children. I'm a typical Mormon, if there is such a thing.

About Me

I am a husband of a beautiful hard working wife. We have been married for 19 years and we have enjoyed all of the great things about being married and endured some of the challenges that come with it. We have 5 children that range from 4 -17 year old. 4 girls and a boy. My family is everything to me. I love spending time with them. Professionally, I am a sales manager for a small company of about 30 employees. I sometimes feel like I wear a lot more hats than my titles tells. We have to work very hard to make ends meet. We have up months and down months but I am very thankful to have good employment in a tough economy. I travel a lot for work and this is a big challenge in my life. I have done it for nine years and I really need to find a way to cut back. I am also trying to finish my college degree online at UoP. I feel that I am as average a middle age american as you will find. I work hard and play hard. I love sports and the outdoors. I struggle with money, time management and most of life's issues like most people. I have times of great joy and happiness in my life, I get angry, frustrated and sometimes sad. I am definitely not perfect!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because early in my life I was at a cross roads. I knew for a fact that if I chose not to go on a mission and not to live the life of a Mormon that I would live a life of self destruction. I chose to go on a mission. Before I left I decided there were somethings I had to know before I could go. I believed the teaching I had been taught my whole life, what I needed was more. I was challenged by my Stake President to read the book of Mormon in a month, before I could get started I was re-challenged by my Bishop to read it in a week. t was very tough but I did it. After I had finished I asked my Father in Heaven if it was true. Actually it went more like "Father I need you to give me that burning confirmation that this is your word before I can go share that with message with others." I got that answer. An overwhelming feeling that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. After that marvelous experience I applied the same type of search for knowledge to all of the major parts of our religion. Christs, Joseph Smith, Modern Prophets, the Doctrine and Covenants, The Bible. Each time I received a unique and distinct feeling of the truth. That carried into my mission and it was a powerful tool to tell people "Don't take my word for it. go find out for yourself. That's what I did and it works." 'm not perfect, nor am I impervious to the struggles and challenges of this world but the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught to me by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints makes the challenges and struggles easier to bear. It brings great joy and happiness into my life and helps me be a better me.

How I live my faith

My family is very active in the church. Every Sunday we go to church. I have been asked to be a secretary in a group that organizes service and home teaching. I support my wife in her job for the church. She is a youth leader and very busy at it. She loves it and I love how much it has helped her grow spiritually and blessed our family.
